How does carpet delivery work?

Can you send me a sample?
No, due to the fact that we are a 100% Internet based carpet store (we are not a carpet retailer with a web site) and do not have showrooms with certain products, but instead have access to over 90% of the carpet styles from every major carpet manufacturer. It is impossible for us to have samples of the products we have access to, just because we have access to so much. Unlike a lot of carpet retailers, who want to offer you a product that they have too much of or can make a larger profit off of, we want you to find any product at any carpet store and let us beat their price on that exact same carpet!
So, to simply answer your question, we cannot send you a sample, because we do not have them to send and we will not pick a product for you, because we want you to be happy!
Is shipping included in your carpet price?
No, we do not add shipping to the price of the carpet, because the shipping rate varies drastically depending on what state and city you live in, where you have it shipped to (business address, installer, terminal or home) and how much you buy. It is impossible to give you a fair shipping rate without the above information. You can get a idea of your shipping rate by visiting our shipping information page! If any carpet store offers free shipping, they have inflated the carpet price to cover the highest shipping rate. We search for the lowest shipping rates available. You can get a shipping rate at anytime by contacting us or fill out the form below with your city, state, zip code, and how much carpet and padding if any that you need. (we will give you a rate for business and residential delivery)
Can I pick the carpet up?
No, due to the fact that most of our carpet is shipped straight from the carpet manufacturer to you and that the manufacturers will not allow any individuals to pickup at their docks, it is not possible for you to pick it up. Most carpet manufacturers are in Dalton and Chatsworth, GA and if you live close enough to pick it up, then you will definitely get an extremely low shipping rate, so you would not save much by picking it up yourself.
Do I get a warranty?
Absolutely! All carpet warranties are from the manufacturer or the fiber producer. The warranty that you see at your local carpet store is the same warranty that you get no matter where or who you buy that carpet from. If you ever have a problem with your carpet, you call us toll free at 1-800-226-1487 and we file a claim with the manufacturer, who then takes over and handles the problem directly with you.
What if there is a problem once I receive the carpet?
No problem! If the carpet arrives and you can check it before the trucking company leaves and if you find a problem (not correct style, color, damage, etc.), just refuse the shipment. Call us at 1-800-226-1487 and we will immediately work to correct the problem. If the trucking company has already left and you find a problem, just call us and we will send the trucking company back out to pickup the carpet and immediately work to correct the problem. If the installer finds a problem (runs, damage, etc.) when he is installing it, just call us and we will send the trucking company back out to pickup the carpet and immediately work to correct the problem.
Always, have the installer check the entire roll of carpet before he makes any cuts, due to the fact that it is easier to file your claim before it is cut. It is a little more work, but any good installer knows it has to be done.
How long does it take to receive my carpet?
It takes the same amount of time to receive carpet from us as it does your local carpet dealer. If the manufacturer has it in stock, it usually takes between 7-14 days (from the date you place your order) to reach you. If they are out of stock and have to produce more, it may take longer.
We will always give you an estimated delivery date and availability, before we place your order.
Do you sell seconds or remnants?
Absolutely not! We only sell first quality goods. The product you receive from us will be the exact product that you have seen or would receive from your local carpet dealer, if you ordered it from them.
Why do you recommend 8lb padding, over other weights?
Although many weights of padding will work, we recommend that you purchase at least a 8lb 7/16", due to the fact that it protects the backing from stress. It does this by absorbing the impact of foot traffic and the weight of furniture. If the padding cannot absorb the impact of these things, then the backing of the carpet takes the abuse, which can lead to separation from the carpet.
Why is your price quote good for only 30 days?
The price of the fibers used to make carpet change regularly, this leads to carpet manufacturers raising their prices one to three times a year and sometimes even lowering their prices. We do not have the markup that your local carpet store has and therefore we cannot absorb the increase, but if the price goes down we will also pass the savings on to you.

We are usually in our offices, Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time. We are closed on Saturday, Sunday and all major Holidays.

We are located in the carpet capital of the world and have two locations, our offices in Dalton, GA and our office/warehouse in Chatsworth, Georgia.
Do you have a showroom?
No, we are a 100% Internet based carpet store. This saves you a large amount of money, due to the fact that we keep our overhead extremely low and we are willing to take less mark-up on your carpet purchase. These are the main reason we can give you a better price for your carpet.
Can you help me find an installer in my area?
Yes, we are more than happy to help you find an installer. You can start by going to the Certified Flooring Installers web site at www.cfiinstallers.com. If they cannot help, then fill out the form below with your City, State and Zip-code and we will do our best to help you find a Certified Installer. We can only supply you with a list of names and numbers of certified installers, but we cannot vouch for any of them due to the fact that we do not know them personally.
Why does your shipping rates say to a business address or terminal only?
You get the best shipping rate if you can have the carpet picked up at the nearest terminal in your area, by yourself or have your installer do it. Most will give you the same low rate if you can have the carpet shipped to a business with a loading/unloading dock. Trucking companies charge more for residential or job site (no dock) delivery. This being said, we are happy to get you a rate to any place you choose, we just need you City, State, Zip-code and how much carpet/padding you will ship. Can the carpet be delivered to my home?
Yes, we can have the carpet delivered to your door, but be aware that trucking companies charge more for residential delivery. Yes, We normally email you your price quote and guarantee, but if you prefer to have it signed and faxed to you or mailed to you then just let us know. Then supply us with your fax # or mailing address.
Do you Finance?
No, To keep prices low, we have decided not to offer financing, but you can pay using your Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express. We also take personal checks (allow a few extra days for clearance on personal checks), Money Orders, Bank Checks, Bank Wires etc..
How do I have to pay for my carpet?

Do you accept C.O.D.?
No, since the carpet must be paid for before the manufacturer will ship it. We recommend that the shipping also be prepaid, but if you would rather have it collect, we can do that, however we cannot guarantee the exact shipping rate on collect shipments.
How long does it take to get a price quote?
You can usually get a price quote either the same day or the next, depending on when you send it. We are closed after 5:00pm E.T. and on weekends/holidays. It can take longer if we have trouble finding your product or the manufacturers are slow getting back to us. If you have not received your price quote within 96 hours, resend your request or call us at 1-800-226-1487.

What shipping methods do you offer?

We ship 99% of all our orders via transfer truck. In some cases, such as with very small orders of carpet or padding we will ship via UPS. In all cases we look for the absolute lowest price and we only ship using reputable companies.

Wholesale Carpet Store has no control of the shipping companies policies or procedures. We do however ship your order only with reputable trucking companies and we try to find the lowest possible shipping price, to save you even more money. ---

Additional info on shipping to a terminal: Terminals are owned by the trucking companies and it is a place for them to load/unload their trucks as well as transfer cargo from one the another. We try to find a terminal as close to your home as possible, but in some remote locations this is not possible and you might have to drive a considerable distance. Most delivery companies will call to let you know that your carpet has arrived and they will also load your carpet on to your vehicle (must be some kind of truck) when you arrive.

Additional info on shipping to a business: If shipped to a business address, it must be a true business address (not a home business) and it must be accessible for a transfer truck with some sort of unloading location, such as a dock and the business is totally responsible for unloading the carpet. The truck driver is only responsible for making sure that it is at the back of the truck and ready for you to unload, he is not required to help you unload or move it. In most cases rolls of carpet can be handled by just a few people (usually 2-4).

Additional info on shipping to a residence: If the carpet is shipped to your home, the trucking company will call you with the expected delivery time, You are responsible for making sure that you have people there to help you unload the carpet from the transfer and to move it to safe covered location. The truck driver is only responsible for making sure that it is at the back of the truck and ready for you to unload, he is not required to help you unload or move it. In most cases rolls of carpet can be handled by just a few people (usually 2-4).
